Staff Accountant - Cranston, RI


We are assisting our client, a fast-growing company in the retail industry, in their search for a Staff Accountant to support key accounting functions, including journal entry preparation, reconciliations, and cost analysis. This is a hands-on role within a collaborative finance team.




Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations


• Support month-end close processes and financial reporting


• Analyze fluctuations and assist with cost and variance analysis


• Review and verify vendor cost data for accuracy


• Assist with audit support and special projects as needed


• Maintain documentation and ensure accounting practices align with internal procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting strongly preferred


• 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a fast-paced setting


• Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, etc.)
