Job Description

Position Summary
The Program Observer will visit youth out-of-school time program sites to conduct observations (1.5 to 6 hour long each). The Observer will use NIOST's Assessment
of Program Practices Tool during the visit, and will also enter data in APT worksheets after the visit to submit to NIOST. The observer will also communicate regularly with staff.


Primary Position Responsibilities


  • Visit youth out-of-school time program sites to conduct site observations

  • Use NIOST's Assessment of Program Practices Tool during the visit, and will also enter data in APT worksheets

Basic Qualifications

  • 3-5 years or more of experience in education, youth development, or out-of-school time programming required.

  • College degree.

Skills and Abilities

Must:

  • Be familiar with or be able to learn the APT observation tool to collect and record data on paper and online

  • Have a strong attention to detail

  • Be punctual

  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills

  • Be able to travel to program sites within Boston area or other areas in MA
