Job Summary: The Material Coordinator (MEMS Sensor Inventory Management Technician) is responsible for managing the inventory of MEMS sensors and related electronic components, ensuring accurate tracking, and maintaining records within ERP and Kernel database systems. This role focuses on inventory organization, stock levels, and ensuring proper storage conditions for sensors and components. The technician will collaborate with production teams to ensure efficient product movement and inventory management. Configuration and preparation of devices will be a collateral duty, supporting production needs as required. This role will be onsite and sit inside the Paeonian Springs, VA location.

Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management:
Maintain Inventory: Manage the inventory of MEMS sensors and related electronic components, ensuring adequate stock levels for production and configuration needs.
Stock Organization: Organize and label sensor components and electronic devices in the storage area to ensure proper storage and easy retrieval. Ensure all items are stored in ESD-safe conditions.
Inventory Accuracy: Track inventory levels and perform periodic inventory audits to ensure data accuracy. Update inventory systems with incoming and outgoing products in real-time.
Order Management: Coordinate with procurement teams to order MEMS sensors and related components as needed, ensuring material availability for upcoming production and configuration cycles.
Component Tracking: Maintain a log of component serial numbers, batch numbers, and other relevant identifiers to ensure traceability and meet quality assurance requirements.
Configuration and Preparation (Collateral Duty):
Assist with the configuration of MEMS sensor-based devices according to production requirements and technical specifications, as needed.
Ensure sensors and devices are properly calibrated and meet technical standards before being moved to subsequent production processes or prepared for deployment.
Support production engineers in streamlining the device configuration process to ensure efficiency and accuracy, as required.
Data Integrity and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sensor movements, configurations (as applicable), and inventory updates in the Kernel database and ERP system.
Generate inventory reports, track product movements, and provide insights to support production planning and inventory management.
Ensure proper documentation for inventory transactions and product configurations, ensuring data accuracy and traceability.
Collaboration with Teams:
Work closely with production engineers, procurement, and inventory teams to ensure seamless integration of inventory and configuration management processes.
Assist in resolving any issues related to inventory tracking, product movement, or configuration to ensure smooth workflows.
Proven experience in inventory management or a related technical field.
Familiarity with MEMS sensor technology and the components used in sensor-based devices.
Proficiency in using ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, Oracle, etc.) and database management (Kernel or similar).
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including engineers, procurement, and production personnel.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in configuring sensor-based devices in a production or manufacturing environment.
Knowledge of inventory management best practices and component tracking for quality assurance.
Experience with inventory management software or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems for tracking and maintaining stock levels.
Familiarity with data logging and reporting software for documenting inventory movements.
Understanding of ESD-safe storage requirements and standards.
Soft Skills:
Effective communication skills to work with cross-functional teams and report findings.
Organized and efficient in managing multiple tasks and priorities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Certifications (Optional but Beneficial):
Familiarity with ISO or other quality control standards in electronics manufacturing.
Working Conditions:
Full-time position with potential overtime based on production needs.
Work is performed in a clean, well-organized environment, with regular use of electronic tools and equipment.
ESD safety equipment must be worn when handling sensitive electronic components.
Physical Demands:
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods while performing tasks.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (e.g., packaging materials, components) as needed.
