Job Description:

Summary:
The Sit-down Forklift Operator is responsible for replenishing fixed locations and assisting the day shift in pulling orders. This position plays a key role in supporting daily production by managing material movement. The Forklift Operator reports directly to the Frameless Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

* Operate a sit-down forklift to replenish fixed locations and move older products to the front of racks to ensure inventory is properly managed.

* Transport and organize materials to allocate for daily production needs.

* Store completed daily production or inbound loads in designated areas.

* Pick up pallets and prepare aisles for replenishment activities.

* Maintain an orderly and safe work environment, operating the forklift in a safe manner at all times.

* Consistently provide excellent customer service by demonstrating respect, dignity, kindness, and empathy in all interactions with customers, visitors, and coworkers.

* Champion American Woodmark’s mission, vision, and values while adhering to company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and the code of conduct.

* Perform other duties as assigned to support operations and the overall goals of the team.

Skills and Experience Required:

* High School Diploma or GED required.

* Minimum of 6 months of forklift driving experience.

* Attention to detail with familiarity in handling industrial equipment.

* Excellent physical condition and coordination, with the ability to safely operate a forklift.

* Valid forklift certification required.

* Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team.
