Job Summary:
The Stand-Up Forklift Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating a stand-up forklift to replenish fixed locations, assist with order picking, and ensure smooth material handling for daily production. This role supports overall operations by moving and organizing materials, maintaining an orderly warehouse, and assisting other team members in ensuring production goals are met. The Stand-Up Forklift Operator reports directly to the Frameless Supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Safely operate a stand-up forklift to replenish fixed locations with materials, ensuring proper inventory management and product rotation.

Transport and organize materials to allocate for daily production needs.
*

Store completed production or inbound loads in designated areas, maintaining inventory accuracy.
*

Prepare aisles and pick up pallets for replenishment activities, ensuring proper product storage.
*

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, consistently operating the forklift in accordance with safety protocols.
*

Collaborate with team members to support daily production and address any material handling needs.
*

Provide excellent customer service through positive interactions with customers, coworkers, and visitors.
*

Adhere to all company policies, procedures, ethical standards, and the code of conduct, while championing American Woodmark’s mission, vision, and values.

Perform other related duties as required to support operational goals and improve warehouse efficiency.

Skills and Experience Required:

*

High School Diploma or GED required.
*

Minimum of 6 months of forklift operating experience, preferably with stand-up forklift operation.
*

Strong attention to detail and ability to handle industrial equipment safely and effectively.
*

Excellent physical condition and coordination, with the ability to operate a stand-up forklift in a fast-paced environment.
*

Valid forklift certification required.
*

Strong sense of urgency, accountability, and teamwork skills.
*

Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet production and safety goals.
