DARPA Biological Technologies Office (BTO) is actively looking for support in the role of Sr. Scientist/Engineer. Candidate should hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering, Biology, or other relevant discipline related to systems biology, computational biology, and/or biomedical engineering and should have sufficient breadth of expertise to make critical assessments of diverse technologies across a range of applications. 

Candidate will support the development and management of current and future biomedical programs in DARPA BTO. Existing efforts include: [1] creating a fully resolvable and extensile computational simulation to forecast the behavior of an E. coli bacterium in various conditions. This computational tool is expected to create a platform where wet lab microbiology experiments could be performed completely in silico. This capability could also be an engineering design tool to compress design-built-test-learn cycles for synthetic biology as well. Future efforts include: [2] the design and implementation of computational simulations to predict essential aspects of virus behavior and prospective infection events. This second effort is an interdisciplinary project that may involve the evaluation of computational approaches ranging from molecular dynamics to higher-order models to simulate biological systems are larger length-scales.
