Position Description:

The mobile rubber crew laborer is responsible for performing duties related to the mobile rubber crew operation in a safe efficient manner.


Essential Functions:

The following list is intended to be exemplary of the physical demands of the position however it is not exhaustive of all day-to-day functions. The incumbent will be required to perform any or all of the following in a given day or week:


  • Adheres strictly to all safety rules and ensures safe practices on all job assignments.
  • Demonstrates the ability to collaborate effectively with crew members and maintain clear, efficient communication.
  • Regularly performs duties requiring physical endurance, including standing for extended periods (up to 10-12 hours, with rest breaks as required by law), using hands for tasks, reaching with arms, talking, hearing, walking, climbing stairs, ladders, and catwalks, as well as stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling, and crouching.
  • Immediately reports any equipment damage, safety hazards, or accidents to the foreman.
  • Capable of consistently lifting and/or applying push/pull force of approximately 50 pounds.
  • Demonstrates schedule flexibility, working extended hours, nights, weekends, and holidays as dictated by business needs.
  • Available for regional travel with the crew, requiring reliable transportation, and occasional overnight stays.


Position Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Prior industry experience is preferred.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination and drug screening.
  • Valid driver’s license required (CDL preferred).
  • Must demonstrate sound judgment and the ability to analyze and interpret Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS).
  • Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required.


Work Conditions:

Incumbent must be able to tolerate moderate to loud noise level (PPE will be provided, including hearing protection as required), long hours standing, walking, and laboring outdoors in varying weather conditions – frequently in extreme heat.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, handle, feel, talk, see, and listen. The employee must be able to push levers forward and backwards. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, bend, twist, kneel and crouch. Employee may sit for an hour or more at a time.

None.


Independent Action:

Performs work independently within scope of established guidelines and practices. Consults with Foreman where clarification or exception to procedure may be required.
