As a Project Manager, you will be a critical member of the Persistent Systems U.S. Army Account Team. You will develop and execute a project plan for U.S. Army related projects and play a pivotal role in communicating technical challenges to our technical SME's as you strive to solve problems. You will play an integral role in supporting projects as you will have insight into customer challenges and project needs and will work closely across the entire Persistent Systems team including Field Operations, Product Management, Engineering, and Quality.
Position Responsibilities
Develop and execute project scope, objectives, and end state
Track project performance in terms of cost, schedule, and performance to ensure the project's desired objectives and end state are met
Perform risk management in order to mitigate project risk
Provide project leadership by setting and managing stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally
Collaborate with internal company stakeholders to resolve issues escalated from the customer
Provide weekly project updates to internal company leadership
Develop and maintain long-term customer relationships in order to manage and interpret their requirements and expectations
Develop and maintain relationships with external companies in order to achieve desired objectives and end states
Support the RFI/RFP response process
Provide expert knowledge of Persistent Systems products
Work closely with internal company stakeholders by providing feedback from information gathered during project activities
Job Qualifications & Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or Computer Science or demonstrated equivalent experience in one or more of these disciplines
Experience in managing technical projects, including oversight of project cost, schedule, and performance for efforts valued at least $1M
Understanding of technical concepts such as wireless, mobile IP, RF propagation with an understanding of hardware and software concepts
Understanding of networking concepts such as IP routing and switching as well as VPN architectures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Must be available to travel up to 25% of the time
Possess an active U.S. Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace engineering, computer science, or Master's degree in business administration
Project Management Professional (PMP) or Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Project Management certified
3 years of experience in managing technical projects - including oversight of cost, schedule, and performance for efforts valued at $1M or more
3 years of experience with DoD communication systems (U.S. Army experience a plus)
Experience working with and managing technical requirements for Government organizations across the U.S. DoD (U.S. Army experience a plus)
Experience with wireless concepts such as MANET, Mesh, Ad-hoc, protocols and web architecture, with an understanding of hardware and software concepts
Experience working directly with and supporting U.S. Army customers and/or other Government entities
Experience working with mid-size or larger external B2B commercial entities
Department of Defense (DoD) Information Operations and Cyber Security experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Project
Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance
The pay for this role can vary from $103,000 to $130,000 a year based on the selected individual's education and experience.
