What You'll Do
As the SrHRBP, you will be responsible for leading HR initiatives, partnering with business leaders to develop and execute people strategies that drive business performance. You'll guide managers through performance management, employee relations, talent development, and workforce planning while ensuring legal compliance and promoting an inclusive workplace. This role will also involve managing HR policies and leading talent acquisition efforts for your business unit.
A Day in the Life
Provide strategic HR leadership to support business goals and workforce planning initiatives.
Collaborate with leadership to drive talent management programs, retention plans, and employee development strategies.
Offer guidance and coaching to managers on performance management, including corrective actions, career development, and employee engagement.
Act as a change agent, facilitating effective workforce planning and alignment with business objectives.
Lead talent acquisition for the business unit, collaborating with Corporate Talent Acquisition to ensure qualified candidate slates.
Manage complex employee relations issues, conduct thorough investigations, and ensure compliance with labor laws.
Collaborate with Corporate HR to develop policies, ensure compliance, and oversee benefits administration.
What We're Looking For
A successful candidate will have a proven track record in HR leadership, with the ability to drive a high-performance culture and deliver strategic HR solutions. You'll stand out from other candidates if you have experience in unionized environments, manufacturing, or industrial HR. Most importantly, you're committed to driving change and fostering a collaborative, performance-driven culture at all levels of the organization.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or a related field; a master's degree is a plus.
Minimum 7-10 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment is desired.
Experience working with a unionized workforce is essential for success in this role.
*Must be authorized to work in the United States for any employer. Must live or be willing to relocate to within a reasonable safe commute to the Lynchburg, VA plant.

Expertise in HR practices, including compensation, performance management, employee relations, and talent management.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate trends, data, and metrics to develop HR solutions.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
High level of confidentiality, responsibility, and organizational skills.
Knowledge of legal requirements related to HR functions and compliance with employment laws.
Proven experience in negotiating collective bargaining agreements (CBAs) and working with union representatives.
Experience in managing and resolving grievances, both informal and formal, in accordance with the union contract.
Knowledge and practical experience with mediation, arbitration, and conflict resolution within a unionized setting.
Demonstrated ability to foster and maintain effective relationships with union leadership while balancing the needs of management.
