The Mechanical Engineer in our new product development team will work with multiple disciplines to develop and release integrated sub-assemblies to be used in standard modular product portfolio. These assemblies include Vertiv and third-party equipment, HVAC, fire detection and suppression, power distribution, cable management, various mechanical parts, etc.
Responsibilities:
Detailed design of mechanical parts - sheet metal assembly and subassembly focus.
Creating general arrangement and assembly drawings for code compliance and production.
Material and finish specification
Coordination between architectural, structural, electrical and mechanical disciplines
Technical project coordination with cross-functional team
In factory support and inspections
Research and implementation of new materials and assembly technics
Prepares, checks and releases design documentation that will satisfy requirements for completion date
Responsible for documentation methods that ensures high levels of productivity.
Part Number, BOM Creation, Configuration Creation / Input and maintenance.
Process Flow Documentation and Design (PLM and ERP).
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant or technical subject
Minimum 2 years in similar positions
Proficient in 3D modeling and 2D drafting required, preferably Inventor
Proficient in Geometric Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) techniques.
Experience creating and sustaining a structured bills of materials in PLM and ERP systems required.
Demonstrates excellent listening and communication skills (written and verbal)
Works independently and is highly motivated to initiate and accept new challenges.
Must be able to work in a fast-paced work environment.
Exhibits appropriate attributes in all aspects of performance and demeanor. Accuracy, results orientation, planning, effective information management
