In operation for over 30 years, this General Contractor has a longstanding positive reputation across union & non-union work in the commercial sector here in the DMV. They specialize primarily within Commercial Offices, Law Firms, Specialist interiors and more. The majority of their projects will be in the DC Metro Area, Northern VA, Montgomery County, with some projects being further afield. Projects range up to $10m.



Your new role


In this position, you will be responsible for running high-end interiors projects and the following duties:

• Develop project plans, schedules and timelines. Coordinate with architects, engineers and contractors


• Supervise on-site activities, ensure safety compliance and conduct regular inspections


• Verify construction drawings and conduct quality inspections


• Monitor project budgets, implement cost-saving measures, and prepare budget reports


• Maintain clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular project updates


• Address issues and conflicts, and develop effective solutions.


• Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure regulatory compliance

What you'll need to succeed

• 5+ years as a Construction Superintendent with a focus on high-end commercial interiors
  
  


• OSHA 30 and relevant safety certifications
  
  


• Skills in project management, communication, leadership and problem-solving
  
  


• Technical proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, etc.
  
  


• Knowledge of local building codes and regulations
  
  


• Ability to work on-site, including standing, walking and lifting
  
  


• Strong focus on quality control.
