We are seeking a dedicated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations at our manufacturing facility. Reporting to the Production Manager, you will ensure efficiency and quality control, leveraging your mechanical expertise and assembly line experience. Your role is crucial in maintaining food safety and compliance with OSHA and HACCP standards. Proficiency with hand and power tools, as well as forklift operation, will be key to enhancing productivity and safety. Join us to drive excellence in our production processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise production staff, ensuring effective implementation of company policies and goals.
Manage production documentation, record keeping, and set production schedules.
Implement standard operating procedures for all production operations.
Allocate human and material resources, creating timescales and estimating costs for cost-effective production.
Maintain and set quality standards, motivating the production team to optimize resource use.
Monitor and control cooking, blending, and filling processes for sauces to ensure consistency and quality.
Drive continuous improvement through best practices and change management processes.
Coordinate with quality assurance to maintain product quality and compliance with safety standards.
Manage ingredient inventory, ensuring proper handling and storage to maintain product quality.
Ensure adherence to safety procedures and guidelines, evolving safety protocols as needed.
Serve as a liaison between office staff and production, reviewing subordinates' performance.
Recommend and implement equipment purchases to enhance production efficiency.
Preferred Experience:
Experience with Ready-to-Eat (RTE) foods.
Familiarity with hot-fill procedures in food manufacturing.
Experience with CIP (Clean-In-Place) procedures.
Knowledge of ingredient handling, mixing, and blending processes specific to sauces.
Understanding of batch processing, quality control, and consistency in sauce production.
Experience with heat treatment and hot-fill processes for shelf-stable sauces.
Familiarity with equipment used in sauce production, such as kettles, mixers, pumps, and heat exchangers.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and HACCP principles specific to sauce production.
