Job Responsibilities:




Responsibility



This position is responsible for maintaining a continuing Thinning Analysis capability within KAMTEK for safe metal formability. Insuring all Draw Dies in Die Shop are Safe & Robust for production. To alert, & forecast any inconsistencies in Draw Dies to Die Shop, Press, & Assembly so that they will be monitored until inconsistencies in Draw Die are fixed, & to protect Kamtek & the Customer from a unacceptable product



Essential Functions





  • Utilizes various test and measuring systems, including Thinning Analysis, Circle Grid Analysis, Stretch Analysis, Radius/Over Draw Analysis, to assess material formability.

  • Provide technical and problem solving support to Tool and Die and Press Shop personnel, in issues related to formability.

  • Maintains a database of formability test and problem solving results for reference and training purposes.




Skills and Ability





  • Understanding of draw and trim operations and functions of a Draw Die

  • Have experience & use of XL & Power Point Software.




Education





  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required




Work experience



Sheet metal stamping and/or fabrication experience with a sound background in problem solving and root-cause analysis is desired.


Computer Skills - XL & Power Point Software. Minimum 3 years
