Responsibilities
Perform Daily purchasing activities – Processing Requisitions and Purchase Orders
Perform sourcing, vendor selection and vendor enrollment
Resolve purchase price variations with cost accounting
Cost Analyze - challenge vendor on price increases to obtain the best value
Maintain and update APL records and scorecards
Market research
RFQ preparation and submittal for projects, equipment, and services
Obtain quotes – both sourcing and cost avoidance for daily purchases, and long-term cost savings opportunities
Bid evaluation
Review contract terms and conditions
Negotiating Pricing & Terms – with and without supervision
Communicating with the purchasing team and requestors regarding delays or delivery issues
Demand forecasting - Make sound business purchasing decisions to maintain adequate inventory levels
Follows all safety regulations
Perform other duties as assigned
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business Management or Supply Chain Management, or relevant work experience.
Qualifications
5+ years related experience
Must be detail oriented
MRP/ERP experience helpful
Experience in metal procurement would be a plus
Strong interpersonal skills
Effective communication, both oral and written
Organizational skills
Advanced computer knowledge – Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision
Good math skills
Analytical thinking and problem solving
Understand financial impacts and able to make complex buying decisions
Understand of total cost of ownership
The annual base salary range for this position is $70,640- $97,130. If you are hired, your annual base pay will be determined based on factors such as geographic location, skills, education, and/or experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current team members as part of any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base pay range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future and continued wage growth.
