The Onsite Resource Specialist will oversee collection, movement, sorting, and processing of all wastes and by-products in a fast-paced manufacturing environment safely and in accordance with Company, Federal, State, and local regulations/rules. This position will also assist the Onsite Program Manager in managing the customer manufacturing facility by overseeing all areas related to identifying, implementing, and maintaining by-product management programs at large customer manufacturing sites.



Essential Functions





  • Ensures Health & Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with client team onsite to ensure customer satisfaction for byproduct activities.

  • Ensure safety and compliance waste management procedures are followed, identify opportunities or challenges.

  • Provide guidance and organize the collection and drop off of waste containers and materials both in/outside of the facility for routine activities and supporting project work.

  • Maintain waste pad (Central Accumulation Area); Complete daily inspections and communicate items needing addressed to barrel pad operators.

  • Manage waste on waste pad (Central Accumulation Area) and at in-plant managed waste collection areas (Satellite Accumulation Areas), to insure containers are acceptable and properly labelled.

  • Support Onsite Resource Manager in collecting waste samples for analytical testing and proper waste determination.

  • Perform daily rounds on the outside perimeter of the plant to ensure proper waste segregation and identify waste containers needing serviced.

  • Coordinate and collaborate with customer facility management.

  • Conduct weekly inspections of the Central Accumulation Area and all Satellite Accumulation Areas to ensure compliance.

  • Perform daily inside routes to audit for waste segregation of waste containers and recycling bins.

  • Assist Onsite Resource Manager in the completion and submission of waste profiles and profile renewals.

  • Assist Onsite Resource Manager in supporting contractors project waste needs.

  • Responsible for overseeing onsite operational duties of transporting various waste and/or recycling containers.

  • Onsite duties and tasks may be expanded depending on the needs of the customer and as defined by specific by-product management plan.

Education Qualifications



  • Required High School or Equivalent

  • Preferred Associate's Degree




Experience Qualifications



  • Required 3+ years client service and/or operational support role




Skills and Abilities



  • Experience in environmental, operational, safety/compliance role preferred.

  • Proven ability to balance and deliver multiple tasks/responsibilities in a deadline driven environment.

  • Forklift certification or experience preferred. Must be willing to be trained and certified to operate equipment

  • Attention to detail in compliance driven environment

  • Effective time management skills and prioritize duties based on deadlines and compliance requirements

  • Effective communication skills

  • Ability to recognize and problem solve and provide solutions with limited direction

  • Awareness this role will require compliance with various federal, state, and local industry-related regulations

  • Ability to successfully complete HAZWOPER Technician Level Training

  • Ability to successfully complete annual RCRA training and maintain DOT training

  • Must be willing to be respirator fit tested, maintain respirator, and follow safety/compliance procedures
