Position Description
The Regional Area Manager is responsible for overseeing multiple branches, driving operational excellence, and ensuring the achievement of business objectives. This role requires strong leadership, business acumen, and industry expertise to manage diverse teams and deliver profitable growth while maintaining compliance and fostering a safe work environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Effectively lead and develop subordinate managers and teams across multiple branches, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Manage operations planning, budgeting, and staffing to achieve maximum efficiency and profitability.
• Analyze budgets, manage P&L responsibilities, and ensure sound financial decision-making.
• Develop and execute marketing strategies and sales tactics, leveraging tools like Salesforce.com to drive business growth.
• Navigate labor/management partnerships with a solid understanding of union principles.
• Recruit, interview, hire, and mentor employees while addressing performance through coaching and discipline.
• Apply knowledge of production methods, construction math, and blueprints/plan reading as needed.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, company policies, and government regulations.
• Exhibit proficiency in business writing and verbal communication to interact effectively with all stakeholders.
• And other duties as assigned by your manager.
Required Skills and Abilities:
• Develop operational plans and direct activities to meet construction objectives, including budgeting, production planning, staffing, and equipment management.
• Review and analyze financial, expenditure, and operations reports to identify opportunities for increased profitability.
• Manage requisitions for equipment, materials, personnel, and supplies within budgetary constraints.
• Enforce compliance with company policies, safety rules, and governmental regulations.
• Train and mentor subordinate personnel, approving key personnel actions as needed.
• Coordinate with Branch Managers or Project Managers to ensure field operations are efficient and effective across branches.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned region as needed.

Education and Experience:
• Four-year degree or equivalent combination of technical training and/or experience in the construction (services) industry.
• Minimum of eight years of supervisory experience in a related industry or environment.
• Advanced understanding of production methods, processes, and supervision of large teams.
• Strong communicative and supervisory abilities.
• Proficient in managing budgets, resources, and business financials.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement marketing strategies and sales techniques.
• Knowledge of labor/management partnerships is a plus.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and construction-related applications.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to stand and deliver training for extended periods.
• May need to travel to other company locations as required.
