Description: International logistics company in the San Francisco area is seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for leading and developing a high-performing sales team to drive revenue growth and expand our market presence in the international logistics sector. This role requires a strategic leader with a proven track record in sales management, a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, and the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Management:
Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company revenue and growth targets.
Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals.
Set clear sales targets, monitor performance, and provide regular feedback and coaching.
Recruit, train, and develop sales talent.
Foster a collaborative and high-performance sales culture.
Business Development & Client Acquisition:
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in target markets.
Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified leads.
Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at potential and existing clients.
Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients.
Market Analysis & Strategy:
Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats.
Develop and implement sales strategies to capitalize on market opportunities.
Monitor competitor activities and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
Stay up-to-date on industry regulations, trade agreements, and market dynamics.
Collaboration & Communication:
Collaborate with internal departments (operations, customer service, finance) to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
Provide regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences.
Maintain accurate records within the companies CRM.
International Logistics Expertise:
Demonstrate a deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
Provide expert advice and solutions to clients on international logistics needs.
Stay informed about global trade regulations and best practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field.
Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
Deep understanding of international freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and supply chain management.
Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, international environment.
Travel will be required.
