We are a Surface Finishing Facility that supports the entire campus at Southwest Research Institute with surface finishing and R&D needs. We are a small team that performs Chemical Conversion Coating, Anodic Coating, Hot Black Oxide plating, Screen Printing, Steel Passivation, Laser cutting/etching, and multiple plating processes for Biomedical, Space, Robotics, and Aerospace projects as an example.
Objectives of this Role:
Work as Silk Screen (a.k.a. screen printing) technician.
Prepare, apply, and inspect all Silk Screen related jobs.
Prepare CAD drawing, epoxies, screens, artwork for parts to be silk screened.
Apply silk screen and inspect all Silk Screen parts before they leave the lab using AS9100 Standards.
Work in a team of other Surface Finishing specialists: relying on each other to complete jobs with multiple surface finishing processes.
Provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Chemistry or related coursework or an Associates degree is a plus.
1 years: Lab experience, preferably in the surface finishing or chemical industry.
1 years: Experience in manually applying artwork using Silk Screen (a.k.a. screen printing) operations.
1 years: Strong attention to detail, adaptable, able to work in a Team, strong analytical skills, able to problem-solve issues to their root cause and work to implement corrective action, customer service skills
1 years: Understanding of CAD software preferred (Correl Draw, AutoCAD). Understanding of various instructions such as inspection standards, blueprints etc.
A valid/clear driver's license is required.
