Developers are responsible for application development and modification/maintenance of applications. These positions have an in-depth knowledge of development tools and languages. The Developers work closely with business partners and other Technology areas in delivering technical solutions. This role is responsible for Intelligent Automation tier 2 and 3 support and application development as time permits (including middleware and legacy/mainframe systems), ETL solutions and reports.
Responsibilities:
Actively participates in performing systems analysis, design, coding, documentation, unit testing, integration, and implementation of complex business applications, integrating with third-party applications.
Serve as the primary point of contact (POC) for escalated support items in the Automation Factory team, ensuring timely and effective resolution of issues to meet customer needs.
Improve support processes and workflows to enhance efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.
Collaborate with business users, analysts, and technical teams to develop program specifications and detailed designs that address business requirements and technical goals.
Provide production support by troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner, minimizing disruption to business operations and providing recommendations for root cause resolution.
Lead and mentor onshore and offshore support engineers and peers, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Manage code through the entire software development lifecycle, including testing, migration, and technical support1.
Collaborate with business users and analysts to develop program specifications and designs.
Serve as a lead liaison for support technical vendors and providers, and interface with customers' technical teams during implementation and support.
Modify existing systems or engage in creating new systems to meet business requirements while adhering to company policies and security guidelines.
Assess risk in business decisions, ensuring compliance with laws, rules, and regulations, and maintain accountability.
Adheres to policies and procedures regarding configuration management, testing, and quality control.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5+ years of experience in at least one mission critical programming language and full-cycle development (new systems or enhancements, integration and implementation)
Experience with technical support
Experience with one or more of the following: SQL, C++, .NET languages, COM, Scripting (VB Script, JavaScript etc.), HTML, Perl / CGI, XML, ASP, Tableau, Salesforce Apex etc.
Typically requires an individual emerging as an expert in a specific skill set, business area or product but who remain focused primarily on daily execution
Primary focus of role is on day-to-day deliverables, developing solutions based upon subject expertise, and occasionally representing the department at a broader level
