Medical Assistant (Contract) Location: Largo, FL Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM (1-hour lunch break) Pay Rate: $20.00/hour



Job Description: Our client is seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join their clinic in Largo, FL. This is a contract assignment (3-6 months with the potential to go direct). The ideal candidate will excel in clinical tasks, patient interaction, and customer service while ensuring quality care in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Venipuncture & Laboratory Duties
  
  
  
  
  
  • Perform venipuncture under physician or advanced care practitioner supervision.
    
    
  
  
  • Handle all laboratory tasks, including blood drawing, spinning, prepping for testing, and maintaining logs.
    
    
  
  
  • Act as a liaison between the clinic and independent lab services.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Patient Interaction & Communication
  
  
  
  
  
  • Contact patients with test results, instructions from physicians, and scheduling information.
    
    
  
  
  • Respond to phone inquiries and triage calls to ensure efficient communication and care.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Clinical Procedures & Support
  
  
  
  
  
  • Administer medications, immunizations, EKGs, ear washes, and other patient services under supervision.
    
    
  
  
  • Assist with office procedures, minor surgeries, and patient education.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Customer Service Excellence
  
  
  
  
  
  • Consistently provide superior customer service with care and concern for all patients and clients.
    
    
  
  
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
  
  


• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program with diploma OR equivalent medical assisting experience.
  
  

Preferred Skills & Attributes:

• Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  
  


• Exceptional communication skills and patient care focus.
  
  


• Medical Assistant (MA) certification preferred.
