Salary: $50,000.00 USD Annually - $75,000.00 USD Annually

Description: Our client is currently seeking a Business Development Associate (Grassroots) to work on a hybrid schedule in the Peabody, MA area(s).



Position Overview



The ideal candidate is a highly energetic, creative, and community-focused grassroots Business Development Associate, experienced in cultivating long-term partnerships with local businesses. This individual thrives in a proactive environment with strong self-accountability. As a key contributor, the candidate will directly create referral partnerships with local businesses in the vicinity of all client locations. Outstanding customer service, credibility, high integrity, and an excellent work ethic are essential. This role is perfect for someone who excels at connecting with people, designing community-driven campaigns, and implementing hyper-local marketing strategies to expand the client's customer base.



Key Responsibilities

• 
  Community Outreach & Partnerships Building:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Establish and foster relationships with local businesses, influencers, and other referral sources.
    
    
  
  
  • Coordinate and participate in community events, expos, and networking opportunities to promote client services.
    
    
  
  
  • Identify and secure co-marketing opportunities with local businesses to enhance visibility.
    
    
  
  
  • Serve as the client's brand ambassador, building trust and awareness within the local community.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Event Planning & Execution:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Organize in-house events, such as open houses, educational workshops, and VIP nights, to showcase services and products.
    
    
  
  
  • Plan and execute external pop-up events at strategic locations to generate leads and appointments.
    
    
  
  
  • Manage all aspects of events, including promotion, setup, staffing, and lead follow-up.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Grassroots Marketing Campaigns:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Develop hyper-local campaigns, including door-to-door flyer distribution, direct mail, and localized social media ads.
    
    
  
  
  • Manage promotional efforts such as referral programs, loyalty incentives, and community discounts.
    
    
  
  
  • Track campaign ROI and adjust strategies based on performance data.
    
    
  
  
  
  


• 
  Brand Awareness & Content Creation:
  
  
  
  
  
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling content tailored to the local audience.
    
    
  
  
  • Leverage platforms such as Facebook Groups, Nextdoor, and local forums to authentically engage with the community.
    
    
  
  
  • Regularly share updates about events, specials, and client success stories to boost online and offline traffic.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field (preferred but not required with proven experience).
  
  


• 2-4 years of experience in grassroots marketing, event coordination, or community outreach, ideally in the aesthetics, health, or wellness industry.
  
  


• Exceptional interpersonal and networking skills with a passion for relationship-building.
  
  


• Creative thinker with a hands-on approach to marketing and partnerships.
  
  


• Flexibility to work evenings and weekends for events and community activities.
  
  


• Proficient in social media platforms and basic graphic design tools (e.g., Canva).
  
  


• Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects effectively.
