JOB SUMMARY/DESCRIPTION:


This position is responsible for Cost Planning for company's operational plans and cost analysis for program's profitability. Related duties include but are not limited to: Generating cost estimate/price validation to support customer quote; developing new cost models and improve cost estimating methods/procedures; and controlling and analyzing cost data for accuracy and competitiveness. Coordinates and review the input from input functions. Coordinates and report to the global head quarter and other regions related to cost management. Presents cost estimate proposals and reports to senior executives, including CFO & CEO.



RESPONSIBILITIES

• Track and plan costs for programs during their development stage to launch and post SOP by consolidating product costs based on input from other functional areas.
• Ability to complete NPV-R studies for potential resource or insourcing studies
• Final review and approval of all major outputs from CPG functions which include CIPPS documents, production location studies, overhead rates, and special case studies.
• Prepare Profitability and Program Review presentations and reviews risk analysis on project estimates.
• Interact with Global CPG functions as needed for projects and clarification of structure and strategies in North America.
• Often assigned special projects/studies including gross profit margin analyses, etc. including analyzing any costs that seem contrary to past experiences and trend data.
• Independently leads significant projects to redesign or develop company-wide systems and process with significant financial impact within scope of the CPG functions.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in a related discipline and generally 5-8 plus years of experience in a related field.
• Cost Estimating/Pricing experience within the automotive industry
• OR:
• An advanced degree (preferably MBA) and generally 3-5 plus years of experience. Candidate is a fully experienced professional/expert in areas of responsibility
• Good skill in Microsoft office especially analytical skill with using Excel
• Have strong communication, presentation, administrative, organizational skills, and possess the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs
