Job Responsibilities:





  • Maintain the SDS (Right to Know) program at location.

  • Ensure legislative compliance with EPA, ADA, Fire Codes and OSHA and serve as a Liaison with area OSHA Representatives when assigned.

  • Conduct routine workplace environment, health and safety inspections and establish measurable standards from which further recommendations (continuous improvement) can be made, with effective follow-up.

  • Coordinate and provide safety training, emergency evacuation procedures and practice drills including any necessary documentation for it and resulting from it.

  • Investigate and maintain records for all work related injuries and/or illnesses according to division procedures.

  • Provide statistical analysis, and assist in the development of effective health and safety counter-measures to continuously improve health and safety objectives.

  • Assist with the coordination of environmental activities.

  • Train new employees on health and safety specific to the facility.

  • Assist in powered industrial truck training.

  • Assist with Ergonomic risk assessment and/or audits.




Requirements:





  • High School Diploma

  • Currently attending a College or University in the field of Manufacutring, Health & Safety or related discipline. (Junior or Senior level status preferred)

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • Professional communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Effective and efficient time management skills
