Position Description
Anoka County Community Social Services and Behavioral Health (CSSBH) currently has a full-time Administrative Assistant position available in our Planning & Operations Support service area. This position provides centralized control and management for the department's operational, administrative and clerical needs. Work includes general office management, such as record keeping, purchasing and financial activities, clerical and administrative support, and coordinating special projects.

This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Interviews will take place the week of April 14th, 2025, for those selected to move forward in the hiring process.
Pay & Benefits
Salary: $50,897 to $59,800 ($24.47 to $28.75 per hour).
2025 Anoka County Salary Schedule Grade 28: $50,897 to $68,702 ($24.47 to $33.03 per hour).

Work Location
This hybrid position will work three days per week at the Anoka County Government Center, 2100 3rd Ave, Anoka, MN 55303, and two days remotely.
Expected work hours are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
These examples are not all inclusive and are intended to be illustrative of primary responsibilities of an Anoka County Administrative Assistant - Community Social Services & Behavioral Health.
Provide clerical and administrative support for the department. Deliver remarkable customer service while answering phones, assisting walk-in guests, and reserving facilities.
Perform office administration and operations activities such as maintain physical and electronic files, tracking personnel, handling billing, account maintenance and verifying purchases.
Prepare and log regularly recurring data for department reports and documents.
Receive, store, maintain and order office supplies inventory. Track orders and investigate problems.
Create and edit written communication including letters, reports, and presentations as directed. Enter data into systems as needed.
Act as a liaison and point of contact for employees, the department, and/or the public.
Translate concerns and requests for information into clear and accurate responses and elevate concerns as needed.
Compile and coordinate materials for meetings for multiple leadership levels of the organization.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
High school diploma or equivalent education.
Two years (2,080 annual hours) of full-time, job-related experience in a fast-paced office/business services or similar environment.
In lieu of the required education, an equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Job-related experience with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Adobe, and DocuSign.
Job-related experience working within a business office environment and with county and state programs.
Provide proficient customer service skills both in person and over the phone while managing a large volume of inquiries.
Accurately maintain electronic filing systems, systematic records, and manage multiple computer programs and databases.
Ability to make sound and timely decisions while being technically proficient.
Knowledge of purchase order procedures.
Physical Demands and Work Conditions
Standard office environment.
Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, and the ability to adjust focus, such as to work on computers. Ability to see colors, shades, and brightness.
Hearing abilities required for general and phone communication, signals, and machine sounds.
Assignments are sedentary, occasionally alternating between sitting, standing, walking, crouching, and kneeling as required to perform job responsibilities. Frequent wrist and finger manipulation to complete computer work.
Occasional lifting of 10-20 lbs.
Equipment used includes computers, phones, and standard office equipment.
Occasional travel to other county work sites as needed. Travel between work sites may require driving a county vehicle and/or a personal vehicle.
