Basic Job Functions:



Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.


We are seeking a talented International Logistics Coordinator to join our Nucor Logistics Group team based in Charlotte, NC. The International Logistics Coordinator responsibilities included but are not limited to:



  • Coordinating containerized scrap steel freight rate negotiations and service related issues with container carriers and internal teammates.
  • Assisting with execution of bulk raw materials import shipments, freight negotiations, risk management activities.
  • Planning and monitoring export finished goods break bulk shipments, preparing export documentation, filing export Customs declarations, handling customer service issues as needed.
  • Analyzing import and export data to provide market insight to commercial teammates.
  • Assisting with export and import compliance functions.
  • Collaborating with 3rd party ship brokers, customs brokers and 3PL's




Minimum Requirements:




  • Bachelor's degree in International Business & Logistics or related field
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with strong skills in Word/Excel/PowerBI
  • Strong critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to career growth and continuous professional development
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferences:




  • Minimum 3 to 5 years experience international logistics / ocean logistics or equivalent degree
  • Demonstrated experienced in supply chain analysis and optimization.
  • Experience in container, bulk and break bulk freight operations/charter parties/risk management
