Installation Technician at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety in Miamisburg, Ohio

Job Description:

This position is responsible for the installation and certification of life safety systems and associated devices according to local & national codes and standards.
*Essential Duties & Responsibilities: *

* Manage the installation of fire, burglar, access control and CCTV equipment

* Conduct routine inspections, testing, service, and preventative maintenance

* Review blueprints/drawings to determine device locations and placement

* Install equipment according to national life safety codes and installation standards

* Verify integrity of all work prior to beginning

* Repair as needed to ensure a fully compliant system operation

* Provide documentation according to NFPA standards upon completion of work

* Provide onsite trouble shooting and repair

* Ensure materials and equipment match scope of work and job sold

* Provide a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication

* If assigned a company vehicle, maintain an accurate inventory of truck stock, ensure vehicle is regularly serviced and immediately report any problems with vehicle

* Perform other duties assigned by management

*Education & Qualifications: *

* Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in fire alarm industry

* Ohio Fire Alarm License a plus

* NICET (Level I or II) highly preferred

* Excellent written and oral communication skills

* Solid interpersonal skills

* Ability to work in a team environment as well as work independently

* Adhere to the Code of Conduct, Confidentiality Agreement, and Company Safety Policy

* Must have a clean driving record and if needed reliable transportation to/from office or job site
