Our client a medical device manufacturer, is seeking a temporary Junior Project Manager to join their team! This role is onsite in Boston, full time hours Monday through Friday, temporary for approximately three months, and paying between $32-35/hr. RESPONSIBILITIES
Serve as Point of Contact for assigned Life Science Project Management tasks and accounts
Follow Relocation strategy and make sure timelines are on track with critical project deliverables
Follow Inventory management strategy that aligns with each site's specific requirements
Be organized and own accountability on assigned Project deadlines
Follow through on daily Project Management tasks, including vendor escorting, coordinating vendors etc.
Coordinate with the project team to ensure the move schedule aligns with the completion of construction and other milestones
Follow roadmap allowing for site readiness for each piece of equipment in scope
Manage the master equipment & supplies inventory list for each project assigned
Plan, manage, and execute the decontamination, decommissioning, packing/crating, recommissioning of existing lab equipment, computerized systems & supplies + installation & commissioning of new lab equipment (final scope TBD) as assigned
Ensure compliance with quality standards and financial plans for the move for assigned projects
Support other Project Managers in escorting, quoting, inventory, tagging any other tasks as needed to complete projects on time
While in-between lab relocation projects, this role will support strategic operations initiatives & other projects including:
Help establish and identify the most efficient methods of relocation, inventory management and Project Management
Bring innovation to the business: innovative ideas, risk assessments, plans for helping the business achieve increases profits across Life Sciences
Team with Regional Directors, Account Managers, and other employees to identify improvement opportunities from ground level up and track/own
Proven ability to develop or adhere to a project plan
Attention to detail
Experience talking with customers
Communicate timing and activities to project stakeholders
Ability to problem solve dynamically
Obtain quotes and invoices from vendors
Schedule vendors according to customer needs
Escort and manage 3rd party vendors deinstalling, reinstalling, and moving equipment in lab settings
Manage engineers to complete relocation activities
Education/Special Skills:
B.S. Degree or equivalent required
At least 1 years of experience managing projects in the laboratory asset management space
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, including tracking and providing regular updates on progress with visualization tools
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
