We are looking to fill the role of Deputy Operations Leader for our Safety Practice. The Deputy Operations Leader is responsible for leading the project management and quality team for the Safety Practice to meet operational goals and client needs.

Annual Compensation: $140,000 - 175,000 based upon experience, certifications, and regional market standards.

DEPUTY OPERATIONS LEADER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Lead the project management team within the Fall Protection Practice
Coordinate the planning and execution of projects
Develop and ensure project management processes are implemented
Regularly monitor the progress of projects and tasks through project management reviews and directs/guides project managers to take appropriate corrective action promptly
Assign projects to the Project Managers based on criteria such as expertise with the project type, familiarity with the client s processes, and overall PM capacity
Responsible for delivering budgeted effective multiplier of the practice through successful project execution
Provide overflow capacity for the PMs
Work with the business development team to develop proposals
Provide project management on a small portfolio of projects
Oversees the Practice Quality Manager
Ensures QA/QC processes evolve with the needs of the practice and are consistently implemented
Lead a weekly practice-wide resource planning meeting
Facilitates communication between business development personnel, project managers, and operational management teams
Assist the Operations Leader on an ad hoc basis for tasks such as:
Contract review and overall risk management
Workload forecasting and required staffing levels
Representation of the practice at monthly LJB management meetings
Other duties as assigned
DEPUTY OPERATIONS LEADER ESSENTIAL CREDENTIALS:
Education:
Bachelor s degree in civil or architectural engineering preferred or relevant fall protection experience
Desired: Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
Desired: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) with the ability to obtain CSP certification within 2 years
Qualifications:
7+ years of experience providing project management of engineering and/or engineered safety-related projects; fall protection experience preferred
Extensive knowledge of OSHA and ANSI Z359 preferred, with the ability to learn these codes and standards required
Ability to travel to other LJB offices and client locations
Proficient in Microsoft Office, primarily Excel and Word
Ability to solve problems by understanding root causes and developing and implementing solutions
Analysis of financial metrics
