Roles and Responsibilities:

• Conduct know your customer (KYC) and customer due diligence (CDD) research related to applicable trade compliance.


• Analyze KYC/CDD results and identify potential trade compliance red flags


• Document results of KYC/CDD searches


• Recommend go/no-go decision, or additional information required, based on research results

Required Skills

• Advanced Excel or Smartsheet


• 3 years of experience in export compliance, sanctions compliance, KYC/CDD, and/or restricted party screening


• Open-source research experience


• Highly motivated and able to work in a fast-paced environment. Results oriented.


• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to make well-thought through decisions in a timely way.


• Strong English reading, writing and analytical skills


• Ability to evaluate and make decisions based on data that may be incomplete.

Preferred skills & experience

• Strong trade technical knowledge of US export control and sanctions laws, regulations with analytical, and organizational skills.


• Consulting work


• Chinese or Russian language fluency


• Experience with Sayari Graph tool

Job Qualifications:

• 3+ years in Trade Compliance, whether in a financial institution setting, consulting, or non-financial sector.


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Ability to work collaboratively within a small team


• Strong trade technical knowledge of US export control and sanctions laws, regulations with analytical, and organizational skills
