Description: Development of college students who are pursuing an Associates or Bachelor's degree in automation, controls or other related technology field. Intern will be exposed to a variety of projects and activities that will provide an opportunity to apply knowledge and skills learned in college and demonstrate abilities in the workplace. The position is a temporary, non-exempt position.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the director:
• Participate in onsite control system commissioning • Technology research and testing for applicability in industrial control system • Existing hardware research and documentation • Control system programming and troubleshooting • Control system program testing • Support the controls and electrical team as necessary.
Fully participate in the Northern Natural Gas Safety Program.
Qualifications: College student, sophomore, junior or senior standing, currently enrolled in an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree program in automation, controls or other related technology field.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
Proficient in Microsoft Offices, especially Work, Excel and PowerPoint
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality . Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without an accommodation.
