Volt is immediately hiring a Cost Accounting Associate for immediate employment in Fountain Valley, CA.
As an Cost Accounting Associate you would:
Prepare monthly journal entries relative to areas of responsibility and participate in month-end closing tasks as assigned.
Prepare monthly account reconciliation's on assigned general ledger accounts; work to resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
Processing/monitoring wholesale return reimbursements to dealers and financing institutions. Research and follow-up on inquiries from the regions, dealers and financial institutions.
Work with financial institutions to resolve rejected ACH draft transactions and resubmit drafts in a timely manner. Monitor daily cash draft transactions to ensure proper execution of bank system interfaces; maintain daily cash logs and/or reconciliations.
Set-up and maintain dealer-drafting master files with related banks according to drafting authorizations and notices. Coordinate information flow from Dealer Development and regions to ensure drafting instructions are in place.
Notify region, port, and appropriate headquarter personnel when a financing institution initiates a finance hold. Monitor finance holds until the bank obtains a release. Prepare internal correspondence to update management.
Monitor and apply incoming wires related to used vehicle sales activity; research payment discrepancies and follow-up with operating departments to ensure timely resolution of issues. Assist senior staff overseeing Fleet Accounting with managing A/R aging to remain current.
Ensure accuracy of fleet incentive payment posting; monitor and accrue incentives
Manage accounting for DealerSign program including customer and vendor deposit and payment activities; record unbilled installment receivables and related to accrued sign maintenance liability.
Prepare assigned financial statements and reports related to vehicle/parts accounting.
Develop/maintain desk procedures for areas of assigned responsibility.
Process payment or system interface transactions for vehicle related dealer payments such as fleet incentives; repurchase checks, HDAA, Holdback, Flooring and Earnback assistance programs.
Assist in the operation of the Finance Department records retention and disposition program.
Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts as required.
Manage accounting for Dealer Sign program including customer and vendor deposit and payment activities; record unbilled installment receivables and related to accrued sign maintenance liability.
This position is temp through July 2025, possibly longer.
Requirements:
Completed 4 year degree
2-3 years of Cost Accounting and related experience
Proficient using MS Excel (pivot tables and v look ups)
SAP experience preferred, not required
Be able to clear a pre-employment 7 year criminal background check and drug screen
Pay Rate: $38-45/hr
