Job Description:

Hays is working with a well established family-owned civil general contractor in New York City who is in need of a Field Engineer. This opportunity comes with the ability to be mentored by a fantastic Superintendent and carve out a career for yourself. The contractor does work with the NYCDDC and ConEd mainly. They offer competitive base salary, 401k, bonus, gas, tolls, and great insurance.


Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage construction activities on-site.


• Ensure projects are completed according to design specifications and standards.


• Conduct site inspections and monitor progress.


• Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors.


• Resolve technical issues and provide solutions.


• Maintain accurate project documentation and reports.


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.


• Assist in project planning and scheduling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.


• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction or field engineering.


• Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and equipment.


• Proficiency in project management software and tools.


• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.


• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.


• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.


• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites.
