Under the direction of the Lead Dentist, serve as a Dentist for TRUECARE and promote an environment of quality care, teamwork, and patient service. Practice dental health and impart health education information and techniques to patients.
Responsibilities & Duties:
Provide comprehensive dental care, services, and preventive health education/techniques according to procedure for patients of TRUECARE while remaining adaptable and flexible.
Assess dental needs and refer patients as necessary to dental specialists or medical providers using medical staff protocols for referral, follow-up, and quality assurance.
Perform dental procedures & services that are within the approved skills profile and/or scope of practice.
Provide dental backup as necessary to all TRUECARE health center dental sites and clinicians while remaining adaptable and flexible.
Provide supervision, consultation, dental backup, and instruction when needed to Dental Assistants and other health care delivery team members in all TRUECARE health center dental sites as applicable.
Open to serving as a preceptor to dental and paraprofessional students placed with TRUECARE.
Be accessible by telephone during hours scheduled and at other times as requested by the Dental Practice Manager, Chief Operations Officer, Chief Medical Officer and/ or Chief Executive Officer.
Adhere to TRUECARE Medical Staff Bylaws.
Agree to comply with adopted TRUECARE clinical dental guidelines.
Work closely with Health Educator to provide appropriate health education and follow-up to patients
Assist the Dental Practice Manager, Chief Operations Officer and/or the Chief Medical Officer with employee evaluations for the Dental Receptionists and Dental Assistants as needed.
Be responsible for attending continuing education programs and provide evidence of necessary education completion to upgrade dental skills and maintain licensing requirements.
Assist the Chief Executive and /or Chief Medical Officer in program development as requested.
Participate in Quality Assurance Program including audits, peer review, patient satisfaction, protocol development and in-servicing training.
Contribute to the success of TRUECARE by participating in quality improvements activities.
Attend meetings and other in-service training as established by the Chief Medical Officer.
Complete legible and legally defensible dental records in a timely manner on a daily basis.
Display knowledge of normal signs of human development and ability to assess and provide age-appropriate care.
Comply with all regulations regarding corporate integrity and security obligations. Report unethical, fraudulent or unlawful behavior or activity.
Required Qualifications:
License from the State of California as Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Medical Dentistry (DMD)
Current CPR Certification
X-Ray License
Minimum of six months experience as a Dentist
Desired Qualifications:
Bilingual (English/Spanish) or working knowledge of Spanish preferred.

The pay range for this role is $155,000 - $270,000 on an annual basis

If you are hired at TrueCare, your final base salary (within the pay range), will be determined based on factors such as education, knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members when determining any final offer. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical to allow for future and continued salary growth. We also offer generous benefits and retirement plans.
