Superintendent -Night Shift
Job Details
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage night shift operations while ensuring site safety.
- Directly supervise union tradespeople, equipment, and subcontractors on-site.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the client, public, and project personnel.
- Lead project planning, including schedules, equipment needs, trade assignments, lift plans, and safety plans.
- Foster an effective Safety culture on site.
- Ensure critical project information is accurately communicated to day shift teams.
- Adhere to labor and production schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective project completion.
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications for quality control and compliance.
- Develop and submit one-week and three-week look-ahead schedules, using the baseline CPM schedule.
- Comply with documentation requirements of the company and client.
- Complete daily reports, documenting workforce hours, equipment usage, completed work, and other key activities.
- Ensure all work meets QA/QC specifications and is completed to the highest standards.
- Regularly assist in reforecast of remaining work and schedule.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent on heavy civil, utility, or highway and bridge projects valued at $5M - $100M.
- Four-year degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Extensive knowledge of heavy civil construction means and methods.
- Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to oversee operations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for coordination with teams, clients, and the public.
- Track record of positive safety record and evidence of prioritizing Safety on past projects.
- Experience in Traffic coordination, Bridge, Accelerated Bridge, DOT, Railroad, Utility, or Water Facility projects.
