This is your chance to be part of an in-house Commercial Services team that propels Hilton's Sales & Events, Marketing, Revenue Management, Reservations, and Analytics functions!

What will I be doing?

As a Senior Regional Director of Sales you will support these areas which are at the core of Hilton's "commercial engine" and are important to Hilton's ability to achieve profitable growth. You will sit on the Americas Managed Commercial Services team, reporting to the CALA VP & Commercial Director. You will work on projects including leading a team of Regional Directors, managing the development & execution of strategic revenue-generating initiatives for the portfolio of hotels in the Caribbean & Latin America, and enhancing profitability for the hotels to achieve budgeted revenues and market share targets.

Your responsibilities will also include:


  • Provide leadership oversight to Sales Operations with the Caribbean & Latin America Regional DOS teams.
  • Serve as a single point of communication, alignment, and escalation for the Caribbean & Latin America Regional Sales teams for people, process, and performance.
  • Be an important liaison and main point of commercial contact for external partners such as ownership/asset management groups, vendors of business products, and internally with key support departments.
  • Ensure Sales Coaching, Training, and Mentorship to the Regional Sales Leadership team that gets passed down to the On-Property teams.
  • Identify Property Level Leadership talent and develop a bench of leaders for Regional Roles, Top Revenue/Key Asset Hotels, and newly acquired hotels.

How you will collaborate with others:

  • Lead the Regional Sales team to drive solicitation efforts by providing strategic direction on rate, date, and space commitments for group room sales of the property, including annual planning/goal setting for targeted growth by segment.
  • Collaborate with all commercial partners to develop training and implement Annual KSP and MBO objectives and procedures to drive market share.
  • Work together with Senior Commercial Leadership, Area Vice Presidents, Area Directors, General Managers, Directors of Sales, Sales staff, Clients, and Owners, some of whom will require important levels of patience.

What initiatives you will take ownership of:

  • Implement all Hilton Sales, Catering and Event initiatives across the CALA region and instill into the selling culture.
  • Deliver quarterly and annual goal setting for all SIP participants through the Regional Leadership teams. Administer strategic plans to maintain the current base and increase the hotel's share in all Sales Impacted segments, with a primary focus on managed transient, group, and permanent segments.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to owners, Area Vice Presidents / Area Directors, General Managers, Directors of Sales, and partners of the portfolio of hotels that provide insight into performance, strategic plans, and tactical execution.
  • Recruit, motivate, and train Sales teams. Provide coaching to the Regional Sales team on an ongoing basis to include the annual and mid-year review process.
  • Manage the corporate sales expense budget allocated to the Regional Sales teams for the purpose of travel / entertainment and customer engagements, staying within budgetary guidelines.
  • Oversee and approve all sales performance goals and manage the overall productivity against the approved goals for the CALA region on a quarterly and annual basis.

To fulfill this role successfully, you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

  • Ten (10) years of professional experience.
  • Seven (7) years of experience in Hospitality Management, Sales, or Revenue Management.
  • Three (3) years of Regional Multi-Unit Operation / Sales Leadership experience.
  • Fluency to speak, read, write, and present in English and Spanish.
  • Travel up to 80% of the time, both domestic and international.

It would be useful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and hospitality management platforms.
  • Fluency to speak, read, write, and present in Portuguese.
