The Director-IT Project Management is responsible for establishing and executing the strategic direction for the IT Project Management team to support the organization's overall objectives. This role provides leadership in managing the entire project portfolio-ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget-while aligning IT initiatives with business priorities. Working closely with C-level executives, VPs, and cross-functional teams, the Director will drive continuous improvement in project management methodologies, foster innovation, and ensure robust risk and compliance frameworks. Additionally, this position is pivotal in building and nurturing a high-performing team, developing talent programs, and facilitating effective communication across the enterprise to meet evolving business needs.Minimum requirements:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience/Specific Knowledge:
A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in IT project management, with at least three (3) years in a director-level role.
Proven experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and IT infrastructure management.
Leadership Experience: Demonstrated experience in leading large, diverse project teams and managing complex project portfolios.
Strategic Vision: Strong strategic vision and ability to translate organizational goals into actionable project plans.
Advanced proficiency providing IT support for applications, and network or server administration.
Advanced proficiency with software and security architectures.
Experience managing multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing based on importance.
Experience in effectively communicating business and technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Project, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, COMPETENCIES, SKILLS, & ABILITIES: Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
A Master's degree in Information Technology or an MBA is preferred.
Certifications like PgMP, Agile, or ITIL are a plus
Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:
Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).
Project Management (PMP) certification required.

PMO Formation & Management: Create, develop, and lead the new PMO team responsible for managing all software projects, expanding from the previous, more limited scope.

Communicate clearly and effectively, both in person and over the phone, demonstrating strong verbal skills and active listening.
