Job Responsibilities:



Position Overview

• Reliable cost-effective solution for the object detection and classification is an essential need to achieve the automated driving. This position involves design and development of machine learning algorithms for the object detection and classification utilizing the camera data.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the mentors and develop machine learning algorithms for the object detection and classification utilizing camera data

• Support data collection utilizing development vehicles

• Design document development

• Support technical peer reviews

• Verify algorithms at component and bench level

Qualifications:

• Knowledge of developing machine learning models for object detection and classification

• Experience in applying machine learning approaches Deep Convolutional Neural networks is an added advantage

• Hands on experience with at least one of the following tools: Caffe, TensorFlow, Theano, or a similar deep learning toolkit is an added advantage

• Experience with image processing and computer vision

Education / Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering / Software Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent(Master's preferred)

Special Knowledge / Skills:

• MathWorks based tools (MATLAB, Simulink)

• C/C++ and Python programing languages

• Linux operating system

Physical Demands / Work Environment:

• Normal amount of sitting or standing, average mobility to move around an office environment, able to conduct normal amount of work at a computer.

• Self-motivation, tenacity, and determination are very useful in this position

• Good communication skills

• "Can-do" mindset

• Well-organized, independent and ready to work with minimal supervision

• Have a Michigan or equivalent Driver's License
