American Management Association (“AMA”) a world leader in talent development, is looking for a highly-motivated and creative Senior Copywriter, who will develop original, compelling, on-brand copy to promote our transformative, industry-leading learning solutions. Effective, result-oriented copywriting across all digital and print channels is needed to support sales, marketing and AMA’s overall business goals. The successful candidate will collaborate across teams and with other creative personnel to brainstorm ideas and strategies to best represent our products, craft impactful messaging and help develop creative marketing collateral that will resonate with our audiences and produce the most successful results possible.
Responsibilities
Write creative, on-brand, results-driven promotional copy for the web, digital ads, email and print to support and drive sales of AMA’s open enrollment seminars and corporate learning solutions.
Support sales teams through sales enablement materials such as email templates, product sell sheets, social post copy and phone scripts.
Support thought leadership publications, white papers, press releases, as well as letters from the CEO or other executive content.
Engage in ongoing creative collaboration and market strategizing sessions with product managers, marketing managers and the digital team to better understand, serve and help execute marketing materials that support product sales goals
Translate creative concepts and business strategies into striking, engaging copy
Contribute to creative brief project kick-off meetings, bringing original ideas and concepts to help position and promote our products and solutions so they stand out from competitors

Qualifications
BA/BS required
5+ years experience writing for multi-channel marketing campaigns. Direct mail copy writing experience strongly preferred
Exceptional copywriting, editing and grammar skills with a working knowledge of marketing and media
Must be able to develop strong headlines, sell copy and call to actions for print, web, email and social
Understanding of differences and limitations when writing across different media channels as well as the most effective ways to capitalize on the strengths and capabilities of each, plus a general awareness of SEO
Ability to flex various writing styles to resonate with the needs of different audiences, and be able to view product benefits from a customer’s perspective
Must be highly motivated and organized, flexible, detail-focused, and able to bring enthusiasm and commitment to writing projects
Be confident and comfortable in a fast-paced environment—both independently and when working within the creative team and the groups it services
Must have excellent time-management and communication skills
Ability to receive feedback well and be open to creative compromises
Prior experience in education or training space is a plus
Travel in accordance with business need (less than 5%)
