Salary: $50,000 - $90,000
Midnight Sun is looking to hire a Reasonable Accommodation Specialist. This position is contingent upon contract award.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
Research issues, identify relevant legal and provide defendable solution(s) citing relevant authorities from Section 6.
Draft reasonable accommodation related documents and the ability to quickly develop master level ability to draft such documents, following or adapting established DMEEO formats.
Learn the basic structure of a federal agency to determine sources of documents and to recommend resolutions
Expert level ability to analyze complaints and law to determine whether the legal elements of the alleged reasonable accommodation claim have been met and likely remedies.
Speak with different levels of individuals throughout a federal agency, outside the agency, and with attorneys or other representatives.
Speak with individuals regarding their reasonable accommodation concerns when the individual is upset or demanding.
Ability to work as a part of a team and accept a variety of feedback on deliverables.
Understanding of and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree, with a focus in writing, analysis and other related subject matters or Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource or related discipline from an accredited college or university
Minimum of three years' experience in the legal, human resources and/or equal employment opportunity arena with demonstrated acumen in the areas of writing and analysis.
Ability to provide writing samples.
Ability to research issues, identify relevant legal authorities and provide defendable solution(s) citing relevant authorities.
Ability to draft Reasonable Accommodation related documents and the ability to quickly develop master level documents, following or adapting established DMEEO formats.
Ability to learn the basic structure of a federal Agency to determine sources of documents and to recommend resolutions.
Knowledge of and the ability to quickly develop master level knowledge of authorities in Section listed below and key EEO decisions of the EEOC and the U.S Supreme Court:
Ability to use MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Pro
Verbal communication skill to speak with different levels of individuals throughout a federal Agency, outside the Agency, and with attorneys or other representatives
Communication skill to listen to and speak with individuals regarding their Reasonable Accommodation concerns when the individual is upset or demanding
Ability to work as a part of a team and accept a variety of feedback on deliverables
Understanding of and ability to adhere to strict confidentiality standards
Must have prior training experience.
Must be able to obtain/maintain site access and security requirements.
