Summary:



Assists and supports the Emergency Services Director. Serving multiple support roles involving interdisciplinary relationships with physicians, nursing, diagnostics, patients and families, quality outcomes and disaster preparedness. Ensuring alignment with the mission, vision and objects of the department and the organization.



Responsibilities:



Assists Director in the development and implementation of Policies and Procedures, which relate to the particular specialty and integrate standards of care into Department Operations / Collaborative Care path that supports the provision of services.Directs and evaluates departmental operations, including patient care delivery, information technologies, service level determination and complaint management, to achieve performance and quality control objectives.Plans and monitors staffing activities, including hiring, orientating, performance management, disciplinary actions, and continuing education initiatives. Manages labor utilization/retention, payroll. Identifies modifications necessary to reflect staffing patterns in relationship to patient acuity, technology, and resources management.Collaborates with the Director in development and implementation of department goals, initiatives, plans and standards consistent with the clinical, administrative, legal and ethical requirements/objectives of the organization.Assists Director with Emergency Services strategic business plan, budgeting process and regulatory compliance.
