What to Expect
The Business System Engineer, G-core Financial is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the G-core back-office accounting and financial system to ensure regulatory compliance, enhance data accuracy, and streamline financial operations. This role will support the IT Accounting department by aligning technology solutions with business needs, ultimately driving financial stability and operational efficiency.
What You Will Do
1. Design and Development
• Map business requirement to functional design; identifying if change requires system configuration or code updates or combination thereof.
• Design to-be system based on business requirement.
• Intake business requirements to provide impact assessment identifying estimates (cost/time) to develop.
2. Business Analysis and Systems Requirements
• Partner with business units to understand business pain points to translate to system functional requirements adhering to HCA best practices while uncovering impacts to upstream or downstream processes.
• Proactively act as solution consultant bringing process improvements to business teams by fully understanding capabilities of the system and effectively communicating the value and efficiencies of a change
3. Test and Maintenance
• Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes.
• Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks.
• Update process documentation to keep system library up to date.
• Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure.
• Validate system developed according to requirement by testing
Qualifications
What You Will Bring
• Minimum 5 years related experience as a business system engineer or business analyst.
• Proven track record of successfully participating in all aspects of a software development project.
• Accounting e xperience in a financial service and/or automotive industry preferred.
• Bachelor's Degree in software development, Computer Engineering, Project Management, or related field.
• Software analysis and design (Cassiopae experience preferred).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Oracle DB and SQL knowledge required.
• Basic Java knowledge required.
Work Environment
Employees in this class are subject to extended periods of sitting, standing and walking, vision to monitor and moderate noise levels. Work is performed in an office environment.
The posted salary range for this job takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; geographic location, and other business and organizational needs. Successful candidates may be hired anywhere in the salary range based on these factors. It is uncommon to hire candidates at or near the top of the range.
