Assistant Director of International Admissions
Posting Summary
Oversee international educational consultant agency ("agency") relationships. Develop marketing materials and communication plans for partnered agencies. Serve as the primary liaison for agencies. Review, track and communicate admissions decisions to agencies. Uphold enrollment processes and policies of students applying through agents. Travel internationally to visit agencies, attend agency fairs and represent UVM at education fairs, secondary schools and advising centers. Manage an international recruitment territory within the framework of the university's enrollment targets and consistent with the mission and annual objectives of the admissions office. Work collaboratively with staff in the admissions office, develop, execute and evaluate recruitment plans for attracting qualified international students from an assigned geographic area. Develop relationships with overseas advisors, agents and counselors. Process and oversee international application credential evaluations. Review applications of international first year and transfer students and make admissions decisions. Manage international marketing and communication efforts. Engage alumni living abroad to assist with recruitment efforts. Plan counselor, agent, and student visitor events on campus. Serve as counselor of the day. Represent UVM at on and off campus events.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
Bachelor's degree and two to four years' related experience required. Experience with international students or equivalent required. Demonstrated multicultural competency and a commitment to recruit a diverse student population. Effective communication skill, both oral and written, required. Basic computing skills (word processing, spreadsheet, database, social media, and familiarity with mainframe student data bases) required.

$48,000 to $51,000

Occasional evening and/or weekends required (if non-exempt position, may result in overtime), Bargaining unit position, Non-standard work hours required, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with an option to split time between campus and elsewhere, in accordance with the university telecommuting policy
