The Appointment Associate serves as primary contact for Student Life Student Health Services customers, in person and by telephone, and routes to appropriate services. As a member of the Advice/Appointment team, schedules patient appointments within the electronic health record; interviews customers, enters information, determines eligibility, schedules appointments, and provides general SLSHS information and routes calls appropriately; facilitates completion of necessary patient forms and distributes to appropriate departments adjusts provider schedules and monitors appointment scheduling system; provides front desk support for special programs and assists with special projects as assigned.

Targeted hiring range is $15.70 to $20.67/hr. The offer for this position will fall within this range based on internal equity, the unit's available budget, and the selected candidate's qualifications.

Minimum Education Required
Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent combination of education and experience. HS Graduate or Equivalent or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
Per Classified Civil Svc Specs or equivalent education/experience; High School diploma or GED; 1 year of relevant experience required. Keyboard experience (minimum 3 months) required. Knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with ICD-9 and CPT coding.
Desired: 2-4 years of relevant experience preferred. Previous experience working in a health care setting; front-line and telephone customer service experience; knowledge of medical terminology.
