The Web Application Developer develops, maintains, and improves the CETE Assessment Services Web Applications (WebXam, ItemBank) as well as other web applications using web programming languages (C#, PHP) front-end languages (HTML, JavaScript, CSS), database systems (MSSQL, MySQL), and APIs connecting various remote data systems. The developer operates in a team environment where initiative and self-direction are highly valued and reports to the Senior Systems Manager. This position is expected to take ownership of web development projects and work collaboratively with staff and clients having a wide range of web development experience. The position supports DBA and backup management roles for business continuity purposes and provides client support for users of our large-scale online testing platform. CETE is collaborative environment, and the position may be asked to participate in web design and software development projects with other groups in the organization as directed. Other duties as assigned.




Required Experience:

Bachelor's degree in computer science & information or technology related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Two years of full-time experience with Web Application Development using C#/PHP and MSSQL. Two years' experience with JavaScript frameworks such as JQuery or React. Ability to communicate effectively with clients, developers and managers. Creative problem-solver, capable of individual decision making. Ability to work in a team environment.



Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education/experience; Major: Computer & Information Science



Desired Experience:
Experience with Entity Framework 6 or Core. Experience with MVC Coding patterns and ASP.NET MVC in particular. Experience with SSRS or Tableau reporting systems. Experience with web design and UI/UX concepts.




60%
Designs, develops, delivers web-based applications in support of CETE Assessment Services using MVC frameworks and other related technologies. Supports and improves existing web applications by identifying issues and implementing fixes and well as developing new features based on customer feedback and self-directed analysis. Provides Ad-hoc and regular data sets to other decision-makers using SSRS or other services. Provides data analysis support to key workflows within CETE Assessment Services. Works with other projects within CETE, consulting and collaborating on technical aspects of various projects.




30%
Provides support to users of CETE Assessment Services Applications via an online ticketing system or via phone. Works with customers and clients via support channels to address issues from identification to resolution, working independently.

Attends Staff and Project meetings, preparing and delivering updates and reports as requested by meeting organizers. Develops professional skill set and stays current with technology changes. Other duties as assigned.




Target Hiring Range for this position is $64,300 - $84,550
