Position Overview
As a member of the Scholarship and Student Support team in University Advancement, the Donor Experience Associate provides support and coordination for activities and projects that pertain to constituent engagement and stewardship, namely current and potential donors. This position will offer opportunities for collaboration with colleagues across University Advancement as well as with executive leadership and program administrators.
The ideal candidate will be able to effectively operate in a dynamic environment and have a proven and sincere commitment to working collaboratively with all constituents. The Associate must manage multiple projects with shifting priorities, competing interests, and overlapping deadlines to ensure the effective prioritization and smooth execution of deliverables for individual donors, representatives of philanthropically engaged corporations, and program managers of private foundations.
Under the direction of the Stewardship Manager, this position's primary responsibility will be to assist with the creation, tracking and review of endowed and current use funds. They will research and respond to Advancement-related fiscal stewardship inquiries. Additionally, they will identify, develop, and implement workflow processes and operational efficiencies.
This role will also assist in the planning and implementation of creative constituent and donor relations activities, including: cultivation and stewardship letters to an external audience; event invitations and other communications directed to drive engagement, express appreciation and express impact.

Department Overview:
The office of Scholarship and Student Support (SaSS) provides advancement support for the university's Office of Academic Affairs. SaSS is focused on scholarships and programs within Student Financial Aid, University Honors & Scholars, Military & Veterans Services/ROTC and The Graduate School, among others. Our mission is to provide a comprehensive, inclusive and affordable education that prepares the next generation of leaders and engaged citizens to serve Ohio, the country and the world.
Duties and Responsibilities
40%
Supports the scholarship manager as needed with fund inquiries for funds across the university from development officers, and other units outside of student financial aid and other partners from the OSU Foundation. Helps create, track and review endowed and current use funds; and researches and responds to Advancement-related fiscal stewardship inquiries.

Plans and implements creative yet cost efficient constituent relations activities, such as drafting emails, letters, cards, reports, proposals, invitations, and other communications that request philanthropic support, offer recognition and engagement, express appreciation, and/or demonstrate impact.

Under the direction of the Stewardship manager, collaborates with team on special campus-wide donor recognition and engagement opportunities through annual giving. Executes annual strategy to express appreciation to all donors that give to scholarships across the university, including weekly gift acknowledgments as well as special acknowledgment opportunities.

Major donor stewardship, with particular focus on donors whose lifetime giving exceeds $50,000, including annual stewardship reporting and accurately recording activity in The Advancement System.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Proficiency with MS Office programs
Desired Qualifications:
Experience working in fundraising, donor relations/stewardship, donor communications and/or alumni relations
Experience with Ohio State's proprietary constituent database (TAS)
Experience with Ohio State's fiscal processes and systems (Workday)
