Develops and maintains profitable business banking relationships within the Retail Division. Responsibilities include identifying needs, recommending products, negotiating loan terms, coordinating loan approvals and closings, and management of client relationships and existing portfolio. Additional responsibilities include prospecting for new clients through networking and external calling efforts to generate new relationships. Provide training, coaching, and guidance to assigned Branch Managers to promote the sale of business banking products. Contributes to initiatives and programs designed to promote organization's strategic priorities. Level II also assists and participates with more complex client situations and credit structures.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Responsibility to manage and grow existing relationships; acquires new relationships within assigned market for notes between $250,000 and $2,000,000
Develops and implements strategies/plans to assist Branch Managers within assigned Markets and establishes behaviors for success to achieve Business Banking goals; establishes personal sales plans/strategies for assigned territory
Coordinates new loan origination requests, conducts loan closings, opens new business banking deposit account relationships, and refers other Bank products and services as necessary through the Branch Network
Consults with other Business Bankers and Branch Managers on challenging/complex sales opportunities. May provide coaching and guidance to Business Bankers and other Retail associates on sales of Business Banking products
Participates in prospect and client meetings to observe Branch Managers in sales environment. Provides critical feedback to Branch Managers in post call discussions.
Serves as primary contact for assigned portfolio and maintain overall responsibility for relationship
Participates in all bank marketing and sales promotions; contributes to initiatives and programs designed to promote organization's strategic priorities; complies with all bank, loan and regulatory guidelines and policies

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in a course of study specific to accounting, finance, economics, business administration or otherwise applicable to position. Minimum of five years of sales experience with proven successful results. Sales calling experience preferred. Demonstrates ability to manage the most complex client situations. Ability to successfully coach, motivate and develop staff. Also requires excellent verbal and written communication skills; sales and marketing oriented, self-motivated with ability to complete projects in an efficient and timely manner; excellent time management and organizational skills

Requires ability to solicit, analyze and act upon widely diverse points of view and exceptional skill at gaining agreement on issues of the highest level of importance
Ability to study problems involving multiple areas of responsibility and requires the imaginative and creative use of abstract, theoretical or hypothetical unrelated technical, economic, regulatory or legal data
Degree of Independence and Decision-Making:
Authority and freedom to act independently and make controversial decisions within broad interpretation of laws, regulations and company policies. Such decisions could have a significant short term effect on company financial results and business prospects. Helps shape company strategies, contributing significantly to policy formulation and revision. Potentially leading to a major loss of customers, shareholders or regulator confidence. Consequences may threaten the viability of the company, potentially leading to a change of ownership and/or loss of jobs.
Required Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities but may have assigned direct reports on special projects and will have dotted line supervisory input in relation to training and coaching responsibilities.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and to apply visual attention, dexterity and coordination in the operation of office equipment; talk or hear; Requires high sales leadership and management ability. A high degree of stress is related to the management responsibilities of this position
