Overview
The Senior Learning and Development Consultant is primarily responsible for sales training including design, development and delivery, working with all levels of management to achieve learning goals correlating to organizational goals. Additional training and design and development opportunities will include collaborating with the exisiting team on initiatives outside of sales training development and delivery.

Responsibilities
Summary:
The Senior Learning and Development Consultant is primarily responsible for sales training including design, development and delivery, working with all levels of management to achieve learning goals correlating to organizational goals. Additional training and design and development opportunities will include collaborating with the exisiting team on initiatives outside of sales training development and delivery. Responsibilities include analyzing, designing, developing, implementing, evaluating and maintaining comprehensive learning solutions for Sales in support of internal programs, projects and initiatives. The selected candidate will design, develop, and facilitate instructor-led courses, virtually and in-person.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Applies instructional systems approach to curriculum design, re-design and development
Conducts instructional design phases and activities for the proposed learning solution
Applies principles of adult learning to the design and development of learning solutions
Designs and develops innovative solutions for instructor-led (in person or via web) and online courses. (These solutions may include job aids, facilitator guides, participant workbooks, eLearning, etc.)
Maintains and promotes approved standards for all learning solutions
Supports evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs by conducting assessments, surveys, and other feedback mechanisms which may involve analyzing data and metrics to measure the impact of learning initiatives on employee performance, productivity, and organizational outcomes
Conducts on-going audits of existing curricula to ensure format or content changes/updates are completed in a timely manner
Participates with department and cross-functional teams for the purpose of curriculum and instructional development
Interpret adult learning theory and is able to adjust techniques for maximum learning transfer
Conducts facilitation of learning content to participants, both virtually, in-person, and/or through a hybrid format
Adheres to effective learning facilitation, with an absence of bias, to ensure participants have the optimal experience to learn
Implements the entire learning and development process, including setting up training calendars, coordinating training logistics, tracking training attendance, and supporting evaluation of the effectiveness of training programs
Develops and maintains data and data reporting for learning in demonstrating how learning impacts business results
Develops, implements, and maintains learning assessments, evaluations, and skill development validation
Training Solution Recommendation
Works with stakeholders to identify performance gaps
Collects training needs and objectives from business units for identified knowledge or skill gap
Identifies and fulfills (internal) customer needs by gathering information, asking probing questions, applying knowledge, and offering solutions
Consults with subject matter experts and stakeholders to ensure accuracy and usability of the targeted learning intervention
Presents learning solutions effectively to internal stakeholders and gathers feedback
Ability to analyze and recommend learning solutions to support the needs of the business
Business Acumen
Demonstrates a big picture understanding of the business, its interrelationships, and priorities
Evaluates the impact of learning on performance and recommends performance solutions strategies or learning opportunities
Executes assigned activities to strategic business goals
Project Management
Manages multiple priorities and projects simultaneously and provides timely project updates
Conducts regular and ad-hoc project review with project team, sponsors, and clients
Works with manager to identify learning specific risks associated with a project and create contingency plans
Additional job duties as assigned
Skills/Experience Required:
Education: Bachelors Degree required
Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a learning and development role within an organization
Sales associate or sales leader role within an organization, preferably in the medical field is desired but not required
Deep knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in sales training methodology
Demonstrated experience with development and facilitation of instructional materials, specifically for multi-day workshops, both in-person and virtually
Knowledge of instructional design methodologies and their application, including adult learning theories
Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office Suite (i.e. Word, PPT, Excel, and Outlook)
Proven ability to effectively work with multiple departments across an organization
Ability and experience identifying desired business outcomes and potential measurements
Ability and experience working with a variety of SME levels
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Adaptability and flexibility
Ability to work independently, exercising discretion and judgment
Strong collaborative abilities, within and across the organization, to fulfill needs and requests
Superior interpersonal and written/oral communication skills with the ability to relate well and cooperate with others to effectively coordinate activities and accomplish goals
