POSITION SUMMARY:
Pharmacist
The Pharmacist will act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Pharmacy, Pharmacy Information System Design, and System Analysis. This role is pivotal in supporting the seamless integration of pharmacy-related functionalities within the Juno Electronic Health Record (EHR) system. The Pharmacist will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the effective incorporation of pharmacy processes, systems, and workflows into the EHR, ultimately optimizing patient care and medication management.
The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in pharmacy operations within a hospital setting, with extensive experience using EHR systems. The individual will also excel at bridging the gap between clinical and technical teams, driving innovative solutions in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Duties:
Functions as an integral part of pharmacy team through regularly meeting with the pharmacy team, and other systems analysts within the organization.
Advises on the most effective method of implementation to internal and external sources. Determines the best timing and source.
Advises on equipment needs, software needs, interface, etc. in coordination with deployment projects.
Collects data for pharmacy standards and quality assurance.
Responsible for populating and verifying data entered into VISTA prior to deployment.
Provides support for interfaces between VISTA and equipment.
Provides training to customers staff and provide documentation of training completion and competencies.
Provides post deployment ongoing support.
Coordinates deployment and training with site managers.
Closely coordinates the computer activities of the various pharmacy programs to assure a smoothly functioning service.
Responsible for planning, evaluating and implementing the computerized data management of all pharmacy packages.
Assures data entered into the computer file system is accurate.
Other Duties:
Travel will be required from time to time for conferences, professional meetings, implementations, trainings, team meetings, and other development planning meetings.

Required:
Proficiency with software applications that support management responsibilities

Required:
A pharmacy degree from a college or University approved by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE).
Certification(s), Licenses:
Required:
Pharmacist Licensure in at least one state within the United States.
Preferred:
Certification in Pharmacy Informatics
Years of experience in a similar role:

3 years experience working in the field of Pharmacy
