Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Set-up Lathe Machinist for a manufacturing company in Poway Ca.


As a CNC Set-up Lathe Machinist you will:

• Set up and operate single and multiple CNC turning machines
• Follow instruction and direction of department leader
• Inspect own work using various inspection methods and equipment as instructed from department leaders
• Read all necessary work instructions, including procedures, routers and blueprints
• Keep own work area cleaned and maintained
• Report to department leaders for instruction and assistance as issues arise
• Stamp operations that are completed and provide accurate counts

This is a full-time opportunity


The ideal candidate will have Mandatory Skills:

• 10-15 years minimum CNC operator/setup experience
• Ability to operate CNC machines using Funuc Controls
• Ability to read necessary work materials and communicate with supervisor and co-workers
• A good attitude and willing to learn
• Willingness to purchase or supply own inspection and hand tools as needed
• Capable of performing basic mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division)
• Must be able to work as a team player and get along with fellow employees
• Experience with CMMs are a plus

Schedule: 1st Shift 6:30am - 6pm - May vary (8 hour minimum)


Pay Rate: $26.00 - $32.00+ per hour DOE

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
