Our IP team develops, updates, and innovates work design and measurement, assessment, and development solutions at the individual, team, and organization levels.

The Organizational Intellectual Property & Analytics Specialist is responsible for supporting the innovation of work and career frameworks, reward practices, and organization and team design. These advances are directed towards supporting all Korn Ferry solutions and relevant digital platforms, ensuring tight integration and connectivity of our content in a way that is straightforward and intuitive. This may include creating new content and unique success profiles at the individual, team and/or organizational level, developing underlying content for jobs and/or organizations, aligning organization and individual success profiles, and developing core content and foundational intellectual property appropriate for Korn Ferry's digital platforms, enabling further revenue growth.

The job holder will have a strong background in data science, statistical analysis, and an aptitude for creative thinking and problem-solving. Success in the role will require developing an understanding of client issues, working collaboratively with our advisory teams and data scientists, defining the right questions to ask, identifying the right data and analytic methods to answer the questions, and translating complex data into elegant, powerful stories that resonate with clients. The job holder should have a strong passion and focus on showing how our data and IP can identify the differentiators of individual and organizational performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

It is expected people in this role will:


  • Support and/or lead projects to design and develop new and innovative intellectual property (content) in the work, career, and job architecture space, bridging traditional and more modern techniques. This may include:

    • Quantitative and qualitative research to support the selection of new work typologies.

    • Client usage data analysis for content/IP in our digital platforms to define and incorporate learning mechanisms that further automate updates to success profiles and other content.

    • Research, data collection and analysis to explore the new, enhanced and/or augmented success profile content organizations need today, and in the future.

    • Market analysis to identify opportunities to optimize core IP and expand work measurement use cases.

    • Organizational success profile research and analysis to inform the development of certain elements of the profile including how to close the gaps between high performing benchmarks and a client organization's current state, including predictive analysis.

    • Contribute to designing novel yet scalable ways of measuring team and organizational factors that contribute to success.

    • Contribute to refining KF's reward, organization design and benchmarking practices and intellectual property.



  • Collaborate closely with other members of KFI focused on innovation, new developments, and technologies within relevant domain expertise.

  • Provide subject matter expertise and scientific support for Korn Ferry solutions business development efforts and marquee accounts.

  • Identify opportunities to enhance various existing intellectual property to support a variety of organizational and talent applications including standardized and scalable practices.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, solution architects, business analysts, UX professionals, and quality assurance to build scalable systems, solutions, and outputs.

  • Prepare technical documentation and reports, processes and practices to support appropriate use.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support communication and enablement to ensure adoption of relevant intellectual property by internal and external clients, using a variety of communication channels.

  • Respond to client questions to ensure understanding of Korn Ferry intellectual property related to work measurement, organizational design and rewards.

  • Stay up-to-date and participate in relevant thought leadership, innovation and strategies, new trends and directions, disruptive technologies, and science.

  • Run analyses using R, PowerBI, SPSS, Python, and/or Excel. Analyses often include comparing client results to appropriate norms and benchmarks using z-scores, percentiles, conversions, regressions, significance testing, effect sizes, etc.

  • Develop and implement machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems in text analytics, including but not limited to sentiment analysis, topic modeling, text classification, and information extraction.

  • Stay up to date with the latest research and industry trends in machine learning and natural language processing (NLP) and evaluate their potential application to improve text analytics capabilities.

  • Create visual outputs such as charts, graphs, and other data visualizations to communicate results that go beyond data and statistics to business insights.

PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise in work measurement, career/talent architecture, reward practices, and organization design, particularly in applied settings.

  • Broad understanding of organizational strategy, talent management and career lifecycles.

  • Knowledge of team and organizational outcomes, including financial performance metrics.

  • Knowledge of individual compensation and/or key financial metrics, predictive outcomes research/longitudinal outcomes analysis, job analysis, surveys, validation research, and/or business outcome studies a plus.

  • Skill working with internal and/or external consulting/professional services.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to integrate data, insights, and information from multiple sources. Track record in conducting predictive outcomes research/longitudinal outcomes analysis.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

  • Balance of big picture thinking and attention to detail.

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel (e.g. formulas, pivot tables) and PowerPoint

  • Basic PowerBI, SPSS, Python, or R skills.

EDUCATION

Graduate degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Social Science, Business, Math/Statistics, or Data Science/Analytics including graduate level statistics, psychometrics, and/or measurement (PhD preferred; experienced candidates with a master's will be considered).
